Freelance Writer
I created articles each week to attract readers to different parts of the city and show what San Antonio has to offer. I wrote, edited, sourced photos, and made sure SEO techniques and creativity were at the forefront of each article.
Program Coordinator
As a Program Coordinator, I am in charge of helping all aspects of the Students + Startups program. This includes creating and maintaining our social media presence. Creating and executing events for our interns and company partners. Recruiting potential interns and company partners to our program for the following cohort. Connecting and maintaining relationships with local Texas colleges and other associations. Tracking our progress through different software, including Asana and Google Sheets. And helping our other programs where and when needed.
Content Marketer
At Tribu, I was in charge of content for multiple accounts including Vino Coterie, Ballet San Antonio, and ABC Blind and Drapery. With content came writing monthly blogs, newsletters, social media, digital ads, and other marketing materials that our partners need. On top of creating content, I worked closely with our digital marketers and graphic designers to come up with strategies and campaigns.
Membership Manager
I was in charge of the entire membership program. I made sure that all our members were getting their right marketing needs in the packages that they have paid for. I made sure that their social media posts are good to go and post them. I updated our website when we get new members or when members had new events going on. I helped out at our own events with various tasks, such as setting up, helping with social media and photography. I planned and executed member mixers, so the members could network and know what is happening with our organization and the city as a whole. I also attended meetings with the chamber to know what is going on and I attend various networking events to keep up with members and potentially get new memberships. In just 2 months of membership renewal season, I achieved over $40,000 in sales from memberships. I met with future members and went through the whole onboarding process with them. I also headed the social media for members and created a weekly newsletter to update them on the latest that was happening around town and with other members.
Media Specialist
For the Great Northwest, I did a mix of physical and digital media. My biggest task was creating our bi-monthly newspaper that goes out to 5,000 homes. I was in charge of writing a few articles, creating the layout, editing, updating, checking the blueprints, and making sure that it gets distributed on time. Other tasks that I had were creating videos for our community to bridge the gap of transparency, enhancing our online presence with social media, creating ads when necessary, reporting monthly analytics, created flyers. Updated our static and digital marquees and obtained ad revenue. I also helped plan and execute events throughout the year for our community.
Social Media Coordinator
For MantraM Digital, my main job was coordinating our client's social media posts. For this, I created a weekly content calendar for each client and made sure each had at least one post per day. This also involves creating content such as digital images and editing videos. Some other things I help these clients with are creating and drafting blogs for their website that align with SEO standards, doing social media during their events, and miscellaneous things that they needed help with. Some of our clients include, talkSTEM, MTGK - Math Institute, Cloud Counting, and Govindjis Jewelers.
Freelance Writer
This was more of a hobby than it was a job for me. I really enjoyed freelancing for this publication. I was always writing about something new, whether that be travel, beauty, entertainment, fashion, home decor and business. I conducted my own interviews and did my own research along the way. I also edited my articles to be aligned with Yoast SEO standards, before our Editor and Chief looked through them.
Marketing Specialist
With this job, I had set up and managed their social media pages. I wrote, researched, edited and grabbed photos/gifs original content for the blogs I helped edit the entire content on the website. I also kept track of the analytics to our social media, google ads, and email campaigns. The best part of this job, besides writing and social media, was the email marketing part. I find it to be really fun and a big creative outlet. Other than my main duties, I also helped my coworkers with tasks dealing with customer service or helping with demos.
Station Manager
I was actually promoted form Marketing Director into this position. I still handled my marketing duties, as well as my station manager duties. For this position, I managed the college TV station. I organized meetings with management and members. I was in charge of handling budgets, writing letters to our higher ups so that we could get new computers and create a rule guide for the year. I also put together video materials for our competitions throughout the year. The more fun parts of my management position were helping with each of the TV programs in one way or another. I planned and executed our live events, including booking our talent, our venue, our food and our props.
