As a Director of Education for the Western Hub of 5 schools, I was a member of the Executive Team providing advice, support and challenge to the schools on all aspects of provision for teaching, learning and leadership. My role included providing strategic direction through coaching and pastoral support for school leaders, validating judgements and analysing data in addition to 'hands on' practical support for school improvement with teaching, support staff and individual/groups of pupils. I acted as a first point of contact in supporting our school leaders with both day to day and strategic priorities, undertook Headteacher appraisal and held Trust-wide responsibility for Admissions and Safeguarding.As the Trust's Designated Safeguarding Lead, I provided both strategic and reactive advice, support, training and policy recommendations to the central team, Board of Trustees and the schools. I supported school leaders and local committees with the management of complex child protection and safeguarding matters, allegations of abuse made against adults and any related investigations. I undertook such investigations for Headteachers, central team and governance members of the Trust and made referrals as required to the DBS/TRA. Coordinating all strategic aspects of the joint education Dioceses' work with academies, ensuring that relevant documentation and policies are implemented. Working with and advising academies and local governing bodies on: school improvement priorities, budget setting, any other aspect of day to day school life requiring advice or support, the recruitment of Principals, as well as meeting with schools who are considering conversion to academy status. Line management of Principals in the Diocesan MAT, Trust DSL and Accounting Officer, conversion of a complex new school and management of three successful Ofsted inspections.The creation of a new diocesan multi-academy trust, in addition to directorship on all school led MATs within the Diocese that include at least one church school.Acting Headship for several months at an academy in Bournemouth in late 2015.Part-time until April 2015, whilst also remaining in post as Headteacher at Pilgrims' Cross.Full time role from April 2015.

I had the privilege of being asked to open this brand new school, in a newly created village still under development, on behalf of Hampshire LA and the Diocese of Winchester. I was heavily involved in the initial build and subsequent extension programme and worked independently to recruit all staff and children, composed all policies and procedures, wrote the school budget, liaised with housing developers, the local community, ordered all resources, set up all contracts/SLA's and much more, to ensure that the school was fully ready to open its doors to the first pupils in September 2013, subsequently leading the school through the first successful OFSTED inspection in March 2015. An amazing, challenging and rewarding opportunity.Executive leadership work with other schools also undertaken during this period.

I became the Head of this small school with a falling roll and nearly tripled the school population within 18 months, (during a period of significant local authority reorganisation of schools). Also involved in several build extension projects, procurement of services, wrap around care and worked collaboratively with another church aided school on all aspects of school life. During this time I served on the Primary Heads Executive, SACRE and supported other schools in several areas. Led the school to achieve an Outstanding SIAS Inspection and excellent OFSTED outcomes for the school in 2012 in addition to nominations for National Teaching Awards over several years.Executive leadership work undertaken with other local schools.

Non-class based Deputy of a 2FE school with responsibility for curriculum, data, school budget and policies. Also spent my final term as Acting Head. I was the senior leader responsible for the establishment of the on-site nurture unit. Provided curriculum and data outreach support to other primary and middle school leadership teams.

Voluntary role leading and training 16 County Brownie Advisers across the region from Gloucestershire down to Cornwall and Berkshire to Jersey/Guernsey. Provided programme, health and safety, safeguarding and leadership advice. Contributed towards the writing of the new Brownie programme and several badges. Visited Brownie units and events across the Region.Organised several large scale events for the region involving several thousand people in addition to training for leaders on the new programme.

Responsible for leading RE, SIAS Inspection preparation, Collective Worship and Mathematics. Advanced Skills Teacher in Mathematics providing outreach support to other schools. Supported the school towards achieving an Outstanding SIAS Inspection result in 2006.

Responsible for a store in the absence of a manager. Key holder with particular responsibility for finance, recruitment and health and safety. Involved in the refurbishment and re-branding of several stores in addition to annual stock checks.
