About Amanda Joiner

I didn't grow up dreaming of a career in Human Resources. And truth be told, I don't think I even knew what the field entailed until my extroverted, type A personality somewhat unintentionally earned me a job as a Corporate Recruiter back in 2006. However, it quickly became apparent to me that recruiting (and HR in general) is simply about helping people, and once I realized that, I knew I had found my professional calling.After working for the same company for 11+ years in a variety of rewarding HR roles, I made the decision to transition into part-time/contract work in order to be more available for my family.
