As Marketing Director at GFM Animation, an independent financing, sales & production company based in London, I oversee the marketing requirements of each film on our slate, from script stage, through production & on to release. This includes responsibility for the approval of each distribution territory's release campaign and marketing spend. My day to day role encompasses company & unit PR, talent & production liaison, the creation of marketing assets (including brochures, posters, promos/trailers, websites, etc), the design & management of the company's website and preparing detailed marketing & sales plans for each title on our slate. Having worked within the media industry since leaving college, I started to establish my career in marketing at Sequence Film (formerly IAC Films) in 2003. In 2007 I joined HandMade Films International, the sales arm of the much loved British film company Handmade Films, taking a position on the board as Marketing Director. Outside of the film industry, I have enjoyed time managing & promoting a team of DJ's, working in sports television (including a month spent in Guatemala for the Futsal World Cup) and more recently I set up Music Mob, a monthly opportunity for families in Essex to have fun with their family & friends in a safe, clubbing environment. Aimed very much at kids AND their grown ups, I loved every minute of setting up Music Mob, promoting it to local families and putting on the events, each of which were a huge success.
