After 5 years with Dignity Memorial, I came across a Veterinary Specialty department at VRCC for the Oncology team. Over the past 2 years, I have continually grown my knowledge in the field and my position is unique because I do get to interact with the clients face to face. Helping clients through the difficult decisions for their pets health care is rewarding in itself. While most pets may not make it into remission, it's worth the few extra months given to the clients and pets. With the opening of the new Radiation Oncology building in November of 2023, I get to work closely with the Radiation team to build and grow the department as the high demand for radiation continues. Southern Colorado has very limited options so we have been able to support the care of patients as well as support the medical oncologists for their referrals. While gaining administrative skills through working in the Health Care industry, I switched gears and started a career with Dignity Memorial in the Denver Market. The main department I worked with was Operations and Administrative Support. I have overseen 19-22 employees throughout my position growth in the company. Tracking Accounts Payable and Receivable, revenue flow, and delivery on products are my main priorities. Onboarding and training new employees, monitoring monthly expense reports, and tracking collections are other examples of daily tasks. Some other attributes I bring to my profession is knowledge in Microsoft Office, excellent phone manners, team playing attitude, patience for training, and keeping communication open with each individual department. I have been fortunate to contribute to the community by participating in the Out of the Dark walk and American Society for Suicide Prevention Hike. In March of 2019, I had the opportunity to complete the Leading with Dignity training in Houston.
