As a social worker in child welfare, I enjoy advocating for change within my community and with the families I serve. To affect positive change more broadly, I look forward to promotional opportunities within my field.I never shy away from an opportunity for growth and development, both personally and professionally. In 2023, I enrolled as a doctoral student at California Baptist University. This program has allowed me to focus on the lack of available foster placements for adolescents with behavioral challenges. My research has led to innovative ideas about how to address this national crisis. In August 2024, I became a doctoral candidate and am moving toward publication and development of my research and innovation.Juggling work and school are not my only commitments. I am a wife and a mother; both fuel me to make positive impacts in my community. I enjoy learning new things, traveling, and camping with my family. Balance is something I am working on to focus on prioritizing self-care.
