Various short and mid term Teaching Assignments on a supply basis. I thoroughly enjoyed my time supply teaching and both of my agencies really looked after me. I quickly learned that local agencies know the schools and the area and know where to best place their teachers. I taught EYFS1 to Y6 and often stayed at some school longer than I intended!

Y1 Teacher at a multiple form entry school. A demanding but highly rewarding role. I worked with an amazing, supportive team and learned what it is like to work in a city school. This role prepared me for the various teaching assignments I would later take on when I relocated to North Staffordshire.

EYFS/Y1 Teacher. As part of my NQT year I became a qualified High Scope Practitioner. This helped me to understand the science behind learning through play and active learning and how learning can only effectively take place when the indoor and outdoor areas are set up as Learning Environments. It is interesting to see that in effective schools these concepts are now used across the Key Stages and not just in EYFS/Y1.
