  Preforms entry and maintenance inside of confined spaces; removes, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts. Preps aircraft surfaces, applies sealants, adhesives, and associated chemicals to fuel leaks or failed sealant.Remove, replace, troubleshoot, and perform operational checkouts of aircraft fuel system components and related systems using AF and manufacturer technical data, regs, and operating instructions. Inspect and prep fuel bladder cavities prior to installation. Inspect integral fuel tanks and associated components for cracks, chafing, corrosion and damaged sealant. Remove and reinstall access panels and doors to facilitate other maintenance. Collaborate with engineers to identify and repair complex system issues on multiple airframes including interpreting diagrams, schematics, sketches, and charts. Troubleshoot fuel wire harness and probes. Remove and reinstall wire harness, hardware, and cannon plugs with cannon plug pliers, using brackets, clips or other mounting materials. Preform continuity checks on panels and wiring installed. Safety wire components with limited access using safety wire pliers and safety wire gun. Mix and apply curing and non-curing sealant to faying surfaces, nut plates, seams, channels and components with fillet gun, by hand, and hi and low pressure injection. Train teams on proper area set up for maintenance in compliance with applicable technical data. Supervise teams on aircraft tasks required for sortie generation. Perform maintenance actions in confined space with use of full face resiporator and Gortex coveralls, preformed rolls of Entrant, Attendant, and Runner. Prepare fuel system components for shipping. Inspect components upon receiving for damage and compliance with technical data and submit Product Quality Deficiency Report (PQDR) when applicable. Inpsects tools boxes and tools for FOD and corrosion, maintained tool cleanliness and serviceability for use, documents any discrepancies on applicable forms.
