Created and implemented Summer Curriculum focusing on local flora and fauna found on school property for toddler and primary students. Assisted in providing education and care according to the Montessori Method for ages 15 months through 3 years.

Supervised implementation of “Montessori Method” in formal, academic classroom settings and homeschool environments with a focus on experiential and outdoor learning activities.

Summer students learn through hands-on maritime based STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). In addition to credit recovery, participating students learn how to read a nautical chart, handle a variety of vessels on the water, identify parts of a boat, and interpret weather forecasts and conditions. Students also learn to navigate using Global Positioning System (GPS).

Program Director for Project SAIL (Successful Apprenticeships and Investments in Learning), which is BMC's after-school program. It offers an engaging learning experience to teens, ages 15-18, with an interest in maritime activities. Project SAIL includes elements designed to improve educational achievement and provides apprentices with a basic understanding of post-secondary opportunities. Using a career-centered approach, Project SAIL apprentices will be motivated to explore career pathways and understand more clearly the connection between high school achievement and life. Apprentices will develop the transferable skills necessary in the classroom and on the job, while gaining a greater sense of self and future.
