Family Drug Treatment Court Recovery Specialist
Manage a caseload of parents with substance abuse problems by supporting recovery and facilitating relapse prevention. Collaborate and participate with social workers and Family Drug Treatment Court team to implement service planning designed to stabilize families, address substance abuse and child safety/developmental needs. Prepare reports/updates on treatment progress, challenges and barriers. Collaborate with chemical treatment providers regarding successful use of services and barriers to service access. Monitor participant sobriety by conducting observed drug testing and assessing for behavior changes. Assist participants in scheduling and maintaining appointments related to their sobriety. Monitor and assist with client participation in recovery supports, mentor and coach clients on relapse risks and use of relapse prevention plan. Provide transportation to relevant appointments when the parent is unable to arrange other transportation. Manage and maintain client drug testing and information records. Research and compile information from a variety of sources and prepare reports on various programs.Facilitate support group for Family Drug Treatment Court graduates to continue sobriety.
