< Provide leadership and strategic thinking and planning for the maintenance and development of WAO scientific meetings, ensuring that these remain true to the mission of the organization and are viable sources of revenue< Manage the planning, logistics, budget, and on site coordination of the WAO Meetings ranging in size from 30-2,300 Delegates in a variety of countries including: Brazil, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia and Mozambique < Develop and maintain relationships with meeting service vendors. Provide direction for, and maintain oversight of, outside vendors to ensure adherence to budget and quality service< Collaborate with and act as a liaison to high level WAO leadership, including the Board of Directors, speakers andcommittee members.< Manage activities associated with development, review, selection and confirmation of the scientific program of the WAO Meetings, including:o Abstract Management (400+ abstracts/meeting) o Speaker Management (200+ speaker/meeting): Including invitation, travel and hotel, handout collection, online speaker management system creation

< Oversee all aspects of Educational Programs including but not limited to: marketing and promotion, liaison to host societies, compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) guidelines, managing the production of syllabus materials, and disseminating and tabulating program evaluations< Organize Committee and Council business meetings including developing agendas, planning and staffing teleconferences, drafting invites, circulating minutes and correspondence< Report progress of Educational Programs to Board of Directors, Advisory Boards and sponsors on a monthly basis through written and oral reports< Develop web content and media updates for WAO website
