Amanda has an in-depth knowledge of Employment Law having practised as a solicitor previously and has engaged in all forms of Dispute Resolution. Amanda is a graduate of UNSW and holds a BA/LLB and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.Amanda has had extensive experience in providing advice and representation to a range of different private and public sector clients across Australia including:- providing advice on workplace laws including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Award interpretation and policy advice.- conducting complex and procedurally fair workplace investigations including in relation to bullying and harassment, fraud etc. - representing clients in Courts and Tribunals, most recently conducting conciliations and conferences in the Fair Work Commission in relation to unfair dismissals and general protections matters.- providing strategic and practical employee relations advice and case management of complex matters including performance management/disciplinary matters, disputes and grievances - Leading and managing projects to ensure compliance with legislative changes eg relating to sexual harassment, discrimination and managing psychosocial risks;- Providing training to clients to enhance skills and ensure awareness of legal obligations and coaching and mentoring to internal team members to improve skills and knowledge.Amanda is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and multi-faceted, diverse role.
