Reporting to the Director, Lodging Performance & Operations, I held responsibility for identifying and investigating opportunities to optimise results for Expedia’s Lodging line of business Globally, engaging internal stakeholders to drive business performance updates in partnership with Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics and Supply teams. In addition to my core responsibilities, I was proud to have:• Investigated customer journey segmentation data analysis with a view to identifying missed booking form display misalignment to specific customer types. Utilising Adobe Analytics, identified specific credit card conversions, partnering with the Product team to resolve issues.• Compiled weekly reporting tools and presentation deck to inform internal stakeholders of production, performance issues and opportunities aligned to new team structure. Consolidated weekly meeting decisions, forming commentary in leadership reporting. • Recommended and adopted Wotif Mobile & App production change in customer messaging to include discount on mobile shopping page. The change enticed customers to book through the app.• Conducted root cause analysis to investigate an identified key data point metric issue, indicating a production decline. Resolution negated labour-heavy band-aid solutions, providing accurate data. • Compiled data insights for Wotif Brand Team aligning ‘out of home’ advertising campaigns to target key customer demands in each market improving campaigns’ successful return on investment outcomes. • Tracked and reported technical incident impacts on production, highlighting volume, urgency, revenue implications and repeat incident’s, allowing identification of improvement opportunities and reducing the impact of incidents on customer booking behaviours. • Supported strategy teams with data insights on App production, deep diving into customer issues following major migration of systems.

In this position, I assisted tracking Line of Business (LOB) trading performance including wotif.com, lastminute.com.au, flights and car hire, managing initiatives to drive performance. In addition, I was proud to have:• Compiled weekly performance reviews across hotel, car and package line of business and present to key trading group.• Initiated new campaign to bring weekend travel destinations to forefront of customer’s views by identifying destinations based on availability, affordability and seasonality which resulted in 20% increase in demand clicks in destination search. • Supported PR Team by providing travel insights for media pitches, in particular highlighting increase in travel demand across event periods, as well as AUS/ NZ lifting of COVID19 travel restrictions. Campaigns resulted in increased news stories highlighting Wotif brand. • Increased communication between Commercial Team and Market Management Team by compiling monthly newsletters highlighting Wotif customer travel insights. • Compiled blog post encouraging customers to secure summer holiday booking ahead of time, partnering with wotif social team. • Provided support with data and commercial strategies to assist with executing two of Wotif’s largest annual campaigns; Town of the Year & Uniquely Aussie Awards.

Reporting to the QLD Area Manager, I was responsible for developing and maintaining strong hotel partner relationships, providing relevant data insights and high-quality consulting services including revenue management advice and marketing opportunities.• Ensured hotels’ products (content, rates and availability) consistently optimised on the Expedia Group sites to maximize customer conversion.• Secured additional lodging rates and availability information over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers’ needs.• Secured seasonal deals and promotions within the guidelines set by management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts. • Continuously promoted and developed hotel partners’ high engagement with Expedia Group’s suite of market insights, revenue management tools, marketing and merchandising opportunities and self-service tools. • Represented Expedia in the local market, building Expedia’s company profile with key local influencers (e.g. tourism bureau, hotel association, etc.) and providing expertise to the local industry.
