I worked as Operations Systems Manager in a successful start-up environment, designing and managing our operational products, which tie into our core product. I assess, define, build, launch, maintain and retire internal systems or functions of systems. HouseTrip’s capability to deliver on its ambitious goals requires a great deal of business operations management and support. I joined HouseTrip in its early stage development and took on the responsibility of design and launch of dependable project delivery for HR, Internal Systems and Operations. These tools were a key requirement, as we grew exponentially in the first year from 20 – 130 people. We now have 200 + team members. I then progressed as Operations Systems Manager, where I then redefined the use of our operational systems by designing, coding and building improved versions.These operational systems include (but are not limited to): Helpdesk ticketing software, Voice applications, Product Management of Internal Tools, Translation localisation services (Agency & Internal), Internal user permissions, File storage, HR Database, Application tracking, Corporate email and Transactional emails.While at HouseTrip I studied Front-End web development, this helped me to bridge the gap in my understanding of the technologies that I was using daily.
