Broadly, my role is a combination of strategic oversight and hands-on execution. I manage an HR Operations team that is responsible for day-to-day administrative and program support across the People Team; additionally I oversee the implementation of programs and tools, provide data insights to the org, design workflows and automations, ensure we're in compliance, and partner with other teams to ease pain points in our overlapping work.Past projects in this role:- Developed and administered rotations program for professional development of early-career HR professionals- Partnered with Recruiting on continuous improvements to onboarding, background check process, visa sponsorship, internal mobility, data hygiene and insights- With Product Operations team, implemented ticketing system (Zendesk) that is now the centralized portal for help requests to HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Employee Relations, and Employee Experience. Our HR Ops team alone is now diverting over 1k emails per month from our inboxes.- Overhauled company immigration program to bring more tasks in-house in order to increase oversight and expense management- Spearheaded team's migration of resources to a new knowledge base, culling and updating existing materials and identifying SMEs to own content refreshes- Replaced background check and I-9 vendor- Created business case for migration to enterprise HRIS- Supported SOC-2 and HITRUST audits- Supported 6 annual Performance and Compensation cycles with data analytics, automations and change tracking, and systems configuration of both our performance and calibrations tool (Culture Amp) and compensation planning tool (TalentComp)

Managed the day-to-day work of a small but mighty shared services team that supports People Ops, Total Rewards, Employee Experience, Employee Relations, Learning & Talent and Recruiting, as well as Collective Health's managers and ~800 employees. I also designed processes and documentation, managed our tech stack, evaluated and implemented new tools, and provided data insights to the org.

- Acted as SME for People Team's suite of software tools including our HRIS, task management, ben admin, performance, employee engagement, e-verify, background check service and compensation planning systems- Maintained data integrity across multiple (non-integrated) systems and established audits, imports, and best practices for data hygiene. Also supported ad-hoc data and reporting requests and developed content for recurring metrics reviews at the department and leadership levels.- Spearheaded overall workflow design, process documentation, scalability efforts and change management across back-ops function- Led collaborations with cross-functional G&A teams including Recruiting, Finance, Legal and IT to reduce inter-departmental paint points and remedy downstream operational issues- Provided support and thought leadership on special projects including employee reclassifications, COVID-19 relocations and leave policy compliance, internal and external job offer approvals, SOC2 audits, pay equity review and DEI efforts. Also rolled out a data analytics platform (PeopleInisight), migrated to a new performance management tool (PeopleInsight), and introduced task management (via some creative use of Smartsheets) to replace project tracking in spreadsheets.

- Oversaw HR, benefits and payroll operations for Sequoia One's PEO (professional employer organization), with a particular focus on data insights and automations- Rolled out operational enhancements that allowed us to grow our worksite employee base by 300% before adding headcount to my team- Project managed 3 years of annual Open Enrollments including data scrubbing, systems build, user acceptance testing and launch, data transmission to insurance carriers, and post-OE discrepancy resolution- Eliminated duplicative, ad hoc data requests by creating a suite of 30 on-demand client reports, saving the Client Service team 5 hours of development per client request- Directed creation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files for FSA, HSA and COBRA vendors- Led HRMS migration from legacy system to a new web-based platform - Created or refined documentation for over 30 processes to reduce data errors and speed up team onboarding - Managed day-to-day work of junior team members and coached 2 cross-company scalability teams

- Managed health insurance benefits, payroll processing, HR systems, worker's comp, leaves of absence, and company onboarding/offboarding at a grocery startup that scaled to 300+ in 4 locations- Responsible for identifying tools, systems and processes that streamlined and automated operations for the HR team. Systems administered include BambooHR, Zenefits, Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now, ADPRun, TriNet, Maxwell Health, Greenhouse, JobScore, Culture Amp, HelpScout, NimbleSchedule and Shiftplanning- Led major overhaul of HR systems: engaged new brokers and implemented a new HRIS, benefits management platform and payroll system on an ambitious 12-week deadline- Key player in major projects related to company growth and management of a large non-exempt workforce: creation of comp structure; introduction of a 401(k); extension of benefits and equity to part-time employees; ACA compliance tracking; new manager training- Drove rapid-growth recruiting efforts, selecting and implementing Greenhouse ATS, streamlining background checks, and staffing for new weekend operations- Developed and administered company’s competitive time off and leave policies
