As a Documentation Unit Manager and Contracting Officer Representative at U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the FEMA branch, I have been involved in various disaster response and recovery operations across the country, such as hurricanes, fires, vaccination sites, and tornadoes just to name a few. I have applied my skills in government contract work, resource management, supply management, and documentation to support the missions and objectives of the agency.I am also pursuing my PHD in Organization Management and Leadership at Liberty University, building on my master's degree in Emergency Management from Columbia International University and my bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of South Alabama. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have a minor in EMS. I am passionate about developing and implementing effective strategies and solutions for complex and dynamic challenges in the field of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management.I hope to continue my career with FEMA until retirement, in which I plan to become a professor and share my knowledge and experience with aspiring leaders of the future. It is my passion to help others as I continually recruit people to the agency while fostering collaborative group communication in an effort to help them succeed in their journey in the Federal Government.
