Ensure adherence to New Business Policies, identification of risks associated with new business / products and appropriate mitigation of these risks occurs. Understand and educate business of their risk profile ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place. Implemented new RCSA structure incorporating Compliance Risks ensuring appropriate operational controls in place to mitigate these risks effectively. In addition responsible for roll out of the UAM Framework across Markets Divisions, establishing BAU processes. Member of Op Risk and UAM related forums and working groups.

1LoD - Implementation of the Operational Risk Framework for Futures Businesses Globally and Financial Markets Korea Businesses. Worked with businesses to understand 'Operational Risk' and its importance in understanding the risk profile of their business and how to reduce the chance of errors through the improvement of their control framework in their day to day operations. Helped businesses in recognising the importance of having robust risk strategies.

Implemented role based security over the trading platform. Established system based controls to manage appropriate segregation of duties in group creation and in the access control management of the security application.

Managed varying projects across operational systems. Projects to improve in-house confirmation matching systems, SWIFT, Swapclear and Scrittura (automated confirmation system). Worked on the integration project for combining the Natwest Markets, Greenwich Natwest and RBS Operational teams supporting the Commodity and Financial Markets.

Responsible for preparing documentation for structured derivative products.

Managed the Back Office operations for the Commodity and Financial Markets desks. Ensuring deal set booked in systems was complete and accurate. Documentation with client was accurate and executed appropriately, payments settled in line with cutoffs and accurately with appropriate controls over integrity of static data and payment documentation. Reconciliations reviewed and escalated in accordance with policy to ensure clearance of unreconciled items.
