When I joined TRW, I began to develop my team leadership even more as I took on roles that required leading cross-functional project teams as well as teams of direct reports that spanned functions, domains, platforms and worked globally. The complexity and challenge ramped up. Oftentimes, I was faced with shattering siloes and dispelling misconceptions the various groups had about each other. My mission – to unite all the disparate stakeholders around the common goal and achieve what had been set before us. I can speak at a highly technical level or simplify the solution for internal and external non-technical stakeholders.
