My head wear is my passion. It grew out of a personal wedding project, which became a hobby and is now my daily bread. I have taken training in millinery at Leeds College of Art and have also been self taught.The style of work is heavily shaped by my own personal response to headwear. I am not a conventional hat wearer. They simply aren't me. However, when occasions require some sort of head dressing, I do enjoy smaller pieces in beautiful fabrics, or even better, something wild that becomes part of my hair and seems to grow out of me. Because the designs allow pieces to sit nestled in the hair, it makes for a subtle statement. The way I work with clients is also in response to my own experience. It is about finding a style that is completely aligned to that person's style and personality. Understanding the individual leads the shape, form and colours which speaks best about who they are.Hats and people make for a fantastic combination - I love my work.

My work typically presents wild free form pieces to simple classic shapes with a quirky personality. It's alternative yet understated and highly individual.The majority of my pieces are one-offs; some ready-to-go off the shelf and then bespoke work. People drive my work, as personality is central to creating something which has a life of it's own and becomes as much a part of the person as their arm or leg. All work should sit with the person, not just on them and should become so much a part of them they barley know it's there: hence the arm or leg comment.Where personality is so central to my work, you will find flora and fauna turning up in many guises; small, compact clusters, strong and structural statements to wild, free and rambling.
