Through Hearst Media I was really able to hone in on my love of writing and managing an overall brand. Everything Hearst does ladders back up to the Hearst Brand and overall drive for communication to its customers. I also got to attend some very high end beauty and fashion events where I found my love for event planning and closed loop marketing.

Working as a lifeguard, followed by head life guard really gave me a sense of urgency with my work and showed me how to bring necessity but also humility to every situation. It gave me a strong foundation for managing lower level employees as well as the ground work for training and educating through private and group swim lessons.

I loved working in an on campus environment where I was able to engage on a day-to-day level with students and faculty in the student center, while also planning weekly events for the broader student population. The RutgersZone is really where I found my start to collaboration with various stakeholders, event management/ planning and supervision/ management of junior level employees.
