My main goal as office manager is to ensure the office runs as smoothly and effectively as it can. I maintain the admin, hr and basic finance systems for the organisation, ensuring we are compliant with GDPR and our policies and procedures including regularly reviewing and updating these. I offer admin support to management and manage the organisations HR activities for both employees and trustees from recruitment and inducting new starters through to resignations, ensuring personnel files are up to date, equipment booked out/returned as necessary, arranging any HR correspondence, and communicating any personnel changes with our finance officer. I support management with the co-ordination of the board of trustee’s quarterly meetings and sub-committee meetings and minute take for these. I also maintain the office building itself ensuring it meets health and safety requirements and the needs of the organisation so co-ordinating repairs, sourcing quotes for any supplier/contract renewals and ordering supplies.
