To prepare for the new Kennett Library & Resource Center, I've begun implementing internal policies and processes to help support a robust marketing and communications team. A few projects I'm currently working on:Developing a long-term marketing planCreating a branding style guide to support the marketing planBuilding new job positions that will support the marketing teamI support a strong daily social media presence, create content for our weekly newsletter, craft press releases, and continue to elevate our brand awareness. Our marketing department is a department of two, but we're a powerful duo. We work together to oversee all marketing and communication material to uphold consistency and clarity in voice and visuals. We're on a mission to create a marketing department that supports the mission and vision of Kennett Library.In addition, I've recently implemented a quarterly Events & Programs calendar that brings together Children's, Young Adult, and Adult Programming onto one consistent piece of communication handed out to our patrons and is accessible online.I help develop and nurture relationships with fellow community organizations to create free accessible programs and events while utilizing our collective resources. Additionally, I accumulate essential library statistics and produce monthly staff reports to keep our Board of Trustees excited and informed about the library's vital work in the community.I also collaborate across departments. My colleagues and I work together as a creative sounding board to troubleshoot anything that comes our way. We're always searching for new and better ways to provide services, programs, and materials to our patrons.

I design, implement, and coordinate all teen and adult programs that uphold our mission to ignite imagination, enrich lives, and create community and our vision to be the catalyst for a community of lifelong learning and discovery. I help develop and nurture relationships with fellow community organizations to create free accessible programs and events while utilizing our collective resources.Additionally, I accumulate essential library statistics and produce monthly staff reports to keep our Board of Trustees excited and informed about the library’s vital work in the community.

I had the pleasure of helping patrons navigate the stacks and computers daily. Working in the community has always been important to me, and this was a way to do that directly on a one-on-one basis. I continued to sharpen my customer service and creative problem-solving skills. My time at the Circulation Desk was still in the early days of the pandemic, so folks were still getting used to coming into the library, and it was a privilege to be a friendly face to so many of our beloved patrons.
