  At The Middle Path, I contribute to providing comprehensive mental health support through my role as a Graduate Social Work Student Intern. My primary responsibility is facilitation of Intensive Outpatient (IOP) groups where I assist in leading therapeutic sessions for adults and teenagers, teaching Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to enhance clients' interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment for personal growth. I am also responsible for documentation, including session notes, intake and discharge paperwork, and safety planning with clients who are experiencing suicidal ideation, ensuring clients receive the appropriate interventions and support.
