Amanda is a Director in Marcum LLP's Assurance Services division and a member of the Firm’s Real Estate and Not-for-Profit Practice groups. She joined Marcum in 2015 via the Firm’s merger with Frost, Ruttenberg, & Rothblatt P.C., one of the largest full-service accounting firms in the Chicago region.Since joining FROST in 2003, Ms. Paton has developed a diverse client base with a particular emphasis on accounting and auditing for not-for-profit organizations and condominium associations. Her experience also includes accounting for medical practices, manufacturers and nursing homes. Ms. Paton’s twelve-plus years of experience, coupled with her attention to client service and problem solving abilities, are some of the reasons she consistently maintains long-term relationships with her clients.Amanda also helps lead the firm's mentorship program and women's initiatives for the Midwest region. Among her accomplishments for clients, Ms. Paton:- Identified approximately $250,000 in tax deductions which eliminated substantial tax liabilities for one of her co-operative clients.- Is a frequent speaker at ACTHA and CAI trade shows as well as guest teacher for a local law firm specializing in associations and Harper Community College.- Developed inventory and sales tracking spreadsheets for a manufacturer client to track inventory shipment and trained the client’s accountant on how to use them.- Assisted one of her clients in developing election procedures which complied with the Association Bylaws.
