:Different is a property-tech startup based in Australia and completed a $ 25 Mn Series B fundraising inSeptember 2021. It is backed by leading VCs – Pie LAB, Air Tree, Commonwealth Bank’s X15 Venture Fund and Antler. :Different has a team of 100+ in Colombo• Led process transformation for company-wide operations to improve efficiency and scalability, and drove measures to improve the operational adaptation of new products. • Redefined the existing processes and collaborated with the engineering team to build technology, solutions and drive change management initiatives. • Supported in building the operational infrastructure and integration required to steer the business from directly servicing clients to providing solutions to businesses who in turn managed the end customer (D2C to B2B2C) – Led the Colombo onboarding and integration team focused on the transition.• Liaised closely with the senior leadership team (including the founders), to shape the future strategy of the company and achieve its growth targets. • Liaised with operations leads to identify the workstreams and deliverables required to successfully integrate partners at scale.

• Building process automation and optimizations using no-code solutions such as Zapier, Zendesk etc.• Led strategic projects across operations, to deliver company growth targets, cost optimizations, efficiency improvements, and scalability• Liaising closely with the senior leadership team along with the founders, to shape the future strategy of the company and achieve its fund-raising objectives• Building operational dashboards on Chartio and Metabase using SQL, to provide traceability of ops matrices and track/achieve KPIs

• Led the Colombo Leasing operation, under the guidance of the National Head of Leasing and Growth in Australia• Was instrumental in building the leasing support team and processes from the ground level• Held the responsibility of managing and driving the growth of a team of 5 under the Leasing vertical• Played a critical role in supporting and collaborating with the product team in building the leasing technology

Sri Lanka

• Responsible for driver growth, competitor analysis and strategic partnerships• Led efforts in driver / rider safety for Sri Lanka across the platform during the COVID 19 crisis• Initiated and structured a micro loan partnership between Uber's driver partners and SDB Bank in order to support working capital constraints / other needs of driver partners• Played a lead role in handling the Uber Medics operation in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka

• Led digital transformation initiatives across supply chain for the company while liaising with the key stakeholders, departments and senior leadership. • Redesigned the implementation strategy and carried out the adaptation of the cloud-based SAS virtual forecasting tool to drive data driven decision making and demand planning. Key tasks included; - Understood the functionality and operational nuances of the tool to build supporting infrastructure and data requirements - Gained stakeholder buy-in and acceptance to drive business decisions based on the forecast outcomes - Built data repositories, working models and theories across all SKUs for continuous use - Built and maintained dashboards to represent forecasts and insights required to carry out demand planning

Sri Lanka

• Part of the lead team that implemented a national level order generation platform designed on the replenishment model. Key activities undertaken are as follows; - Built an in-depth understanding of the interface and configuration to be adapted to Sri Lanka whilst liaising with strategic distributors, field sales and supply chain - Carried out scenario simulations and established market guidelines and solutions for deployment - Conducted region-wise on boarding programs in educating regional management teams anddistributor system operators - Executed contingency plans designed to cater different regional and sub-business requirementswhile adhering to the regulatory framework• Drove projects for supply chain focusing on process streamlining and warehouse management, covering value addition and product retrieval

Sri Lanka

• Worked cross functionally across Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and HR building a holistic understanding of Nestlé’s FMCG operation, and updated quick reference guides and SOPs with knowledge gained accordingly

MAS Holdings is a USD 2 Bn enterprise and is the partner of choice for some of the most iconic global apparel brands• Work collaboratively with automation teams on automation and machine innovation projects to develop devices and machine attachments to be used in the production floor• Identify/analyze technology improvements to the existing system in order to enhance the valueproposition of manufacturing facilities, optimize costs and improve profitability• Understand the lean journey of the company and work alongside the MOS & IE team to achieve lean manufacturing excellency• Research and assess the suitability of evolving technologies and solutions to be deployed at plants

During the 10-week training program I was able to enhance my engineering knowledge and familiarize myself with the industrial applications. The key aspects of my training are listed below;• Engine inspection, repair and assembly, calibration of ship engine components and manufacturing tools • Familiarization of Engine component manufacturing and Industrial methods of manufacturing and processing of metal• Becoming accustomed to Surface treatment techniques, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery• Field and dock inspection, Dock control system and pump functionality study• Safe Engineering practices and Quality control assessment

• Familiarization of sea and airfreight operations• Assisted the compliances and audit team with Shipment Tracking and Data analysis • Supported the Business Development department in completing a research project on all India Export & Import Analysis• Helped the Division of Trade Lane for Australia assess Export & Import relationship between India and Australia
