As the Assistant Store Manager I worked in partnership with the Store Manager to complete all necessary tasks to ensure a well balanced, and profitable environment. My primary goal each day was to maintain the operational tasks while providing assistance where needed. As a manager I strived to guide the sales staff and assist in client relations and floor management- my primary position however, was operational. I held responsibility for company-wide product knowledge, allocation and transference of various styles/brands depending on their movement within the season, and also collection markdowns. Along with the Stock Supervisors, we organized the back of house product, corrected any ticket changes, and adjusted negative balance numbers, while in constant communication with the corporate team to ensure minimal shrink and fulfillment of client requests. Some of my other operational responsibilities were: scheduling of all staff according to projected monthly goals, weekly analysis of product movement and new client generation, ordering of all office goods and maintenance (when needed,) along with payroll, recruiting and interviewing potential candidates, and always assisting sales and providing floor support.
