People often ask..why pro-life work? My reason...in the last 8 years it has become my driving force. I was a teen mom. At just 15 years old, I was facing an unplanned pregnancy. To make matters worse, I was forced to have an abortion. I struggled for many years with that terrible truth. My hope is in my redeemer, not in my circumstances, then or even now. I have been in a ministry, in some capacity, for over 20 years. I see a need and often create a program(s) that have a solution. In addition, I obtain funding for that program, through grant writing or public speaking to raise awareness. I have created food pantries. I myself, as a single mom, relied on the local pantry to supplement the food supply for my children. I started a summer lunch program, because I benefited from such a program growing up. I opened a clothing closet, featuring a 'dress for success' section, which provided business ready attire for job searching and permanent employment. I couldn't have advanced with out a little boost. My outlook on life is be available for anything. Scripture tells us that when we give to the least of these, we have given it to Jesus, himself. That's the legacy I want to leave. I am encourager, a spirit lifter. Because I need the same. As I have grown in Christ Jesus, I have gained an astronomical amount of compassion for others. Our Heavenly Father has compassion for His children, so I seek to serve the less fortunate, and in this world of chaos, that is everyone. Now, I keep in mind my life could have gone a complete different direction because of the past traumas. But God is love. If my scars help others then I am on the path that He intended. I am a self-starter, and am passionate about the work of the Lord. I know He will equip me for the work He's laid ahead of me.
