I am a dedicated member of the Association of Geography with a passion for leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) technologies to explore and analyze our world. Currently awaiting the results of my B.A. (Hons) in Geography from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, I have a strong academic foundation in this field.During my academic journey, I actively contributed to various extracurricular activities, such as serving as the Treasurer of the Sinhala Literacy Association and a Committee Member of the Art Society at my school in 2017. I take pride in my artistic skills, having designed the best symbol for the 125th Jubilee at my school.I also had the opportunity to create and facilitate interactive Geography lessons for Grade 10 students at the Sabaragamuwa Education Office, allowing me to combine my passion for geography with my proficiency in software tools like GIS, RS, and Google Earth Pro. Additionally, I am proficient in MS Office.My educational background includes excelling in the Advanced Level Examination in the Art Stream, where I achieved 2 A's, 1 B, and notable results in subjects like Sinhala, Communication & Media Studies, and Art. Furthermore, I successfully completed the Ordinary Level Examination with distinctions.I am constantly expanding my knowledge base with diplomas in various fields, including ICT, HRM, and my current pursuit of Disaster Management at Kelaniya University. My passion extends to practical applications, as evidenced by my involvement in a project related to murals at the Weliwita Saranankara Temple.One of my notable achievements includes authoring a publication on "Determining suitable zones & locations for setting up wells using GIS technology, with a special reference to Kolugala Pahalagama GND." I am committed to leveraging my skills and experiences to make meaningful contributions to the field of geography and beyond.
