Legal Case Handling - I worked in a team of three running one hundred and eighty to two hundred high value cases. Personal caseload around fifty files which I ran from the initial first contact through to the conclusion of the cases. I assisted a Director in the running of the remaining matters. Responsibilities included but not limited to, drafting Claim Forms; drafting Particulars of Claim and dealing with all stages of Directions through to trial; making Applications, both to the County Court and the High Court; drafting detailed and complex Schedules of Damages; instructing experts, including engineers and medical experts; drafting instructions to Counsel; drafting ADR proposals; negotiating settlements in complex high value cases; advising clients on settlement options, such as the difference between full and final and provisional damages. Oftentimes I attended meetings in London with Counsel and attend upon the High Court or local district registry. Group Litigation - I assisted the Director with running of complex Group Litigation claims, both generic and case specific matters. I took the lead within the firm for three different Group actions where individual cases vary in value up to around £250,000.00. I routinely liaised with other firms of solicitors who have similar cases and agree the best way to prosecute matters. Marketing Responsibilities - Wrote news articles for the firm’s website and social media pages. On my own initiative, I approached and cultivated a source of clinical negligence claims which proved lucrative. I worked on a new website for the firm, re-writing content and liaising with designers. I expanded my skills in search engine optimisation, WordPress and Google AdWords. Show less

I handled a case load of between five hundred and seven hundred litigated and none litigated RTA portal and non-portal claims from inception to settlement. I handled my own telephone CMCs. A fast paced and high volume case load requiring organisation and dedication. I delegated tasks to my two assistants and worked well within the wider team.
