Growing up, the outdoors were, and still are, a big staple of my life. My love of adventure in that park also helped spark a passion for knowledge. Wanting to know how the trees grew, how the wildlife lived, or even simple things like how it rains, or where mountains come from. This desire to know how things ticked helped fuel my love for problem solving. This eventually translated over to the software world, unsurprisingly, because of Minecraft. I used to play on a world with my friends where we had access to what are called 'command blocks'. This was my first instance of using a variation of any type of code, without even realizing it at the time, to build the objects I wanted in the game. My desire to want to know more about how I was able to do those things and why eventually led me to the path I'm walking down today as a full-stack software developer.This desire to know how things tick also helped me grow to be more personable. I'm able to see each person with their own strengths and weaknesses, or different things that make them 'tick'. My ability to see the individuality helps me leverage strengths for a better outcome, or simply to help the person grow otherwise. I'm adaptable to situations because of my ability to see both the big picture and the inner-workings of it.I hope to always consider myself as a sponge to knowledge of all kinds, and continue to grow because of it. After my graduation from Tech Elevator my next goal is to find an opportunity to continue me on this path of growth, both in my career and personally.
