Contributed to the development and testing of the optical alignment plan for SPECTRE, a proposed 0.4-4.2 µm wide-band spectrograph designed for efficient characterization of small solar system bodies and astrophysical transients. Created a full-scale mockup of the instrument's optical bench using 3D-printed components, focusing on ensuring optical alignment feasibility and identifying mechanical design improvements. Documented findings and discrepancies in a technical report, contributing to refining the assembly plan. Presented work at the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) for the instrument, demonstrating a tangible model that instilled confidence in SPECTRE's mechanical design readiness.
