WRD is a privately-held investment corporation headquartered in Bryn Mawr, PA. Over the years, WRD has managed a portfolio that has included hospitality, tourism, self-storage, and real estate concerns. Amanda has been the point of contact for many of WRD's investments in North Carolina, using her local knowledge and experience to maximize shareholder profits. These projects have included Blue Moon Bistro, a restaurant in Beaufort, NC; Cruisin Tiki's Beaufort, also in Beaufort, NC; CubeSmart Self-Storage in Winston-Salem, NC; and numerous real estate properties in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Some of her successes are as follows: -Due to Amanda's expert knowledge of the local waters and customs, Cruisin Tikis has grown by 300% since its launch in 2020-Amanda's experience growing up in the Winston-Salem area allowed her to expertly advise other WRD shareholders in real estate acquisitions and management, including navigating the often-difficult world of local North Carolina political concerns.-Amanda's love of Southern cuisine inspired WRD to investigate investing in a restaurant and bar in Beaufort, NC. This will be opening in Spring 2022.

Due to Covid, on-site school counselling positions were not an option, so I used the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of living and working at a ski area my family and I have loved for decades. Applying my counselling skills in a new environment, I served as the VIP Concierge for the Big Sky Resort, one of the largest ski resorts in North America. In this role, I arranged personalized schedules, including local excursions, skiing instruction, food and beverage, transport and much more, as well as serving as mediator for guest issues brought about by the challenges of operating a business in a Covid environment. Used knowledge of local area to provide insight into “best trip ever” for resort guests. Recognized by Big Sky Resorts with cash bonuses, spotlighted in resort wide publication, high number of guest acknowledgements, including positive Trip Advisor reviews and cash recognition by guests.

Worked at Mastery Charter Schools (Smedley Campus) as therapeutic support for a disverse student population with a wide range of diagnoses and challenges. Duties included developing individual treatment plans, daily therapeutic interventions, group sessions and close collaboration with faculty, staff, and parents. Results included 45% of cases being discharged for meeting treatment plan goals. Known within the school for development of impactful relationships with teachers, parents, and other team members focused on improvements in student performance and socialization. Superb relationship skills allowed for building of constructive development plans across all constituencies.

Served as the critical “first step” for the evaluation and treatment process for children and families in dealing with a wide array of crisis and critical situations, including child abuse; sexual abuse; substance abuse; family dysfunctionality; and other challenges. Key accomplishments included:• Certified by the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy Training;• Recognized for the highest clinical results ever achieved at CcTC as demonstrated by client show rate, clinical results, and client satisfaction;• Recognized for development of relationships driven by strong communication skills across a divergent spectrum of peers and clients Outpatient Intern (2007-2008) Member of outpatient staff with responsibility for all phases of client care. Including but not limited to intake assessments, treatment planning and execution, scheduling, consultation, and case management. Recognized with promotion to Outpatient Clinician role as outstanding intern.

Responsible for the production and supervision of three remarkable boys, resulting in a high level of satisfaction in personal life.

Functioned in all phases of the life of the school: teaching, administration, communications, bookkeeping, admissions, and summer camp. Assisted teachers with discipline issues, parenting problems and loving children. Demonstrated leadership through chairmanship of largest capital campaign in the school’s history, delivering in excess of $400k in capital gifts raised, while at same time developing lifelong relationships with faculty, staff, and parents

Designed, developed and implemented sales, advertising and promotional plan for the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants ball club, resulting in a 30% increase in advertising revenue and 40% increase in attendance at games. At the time, I was the only woman in the country at this level in baseball.

Moving with husband’s Marine career, served in a variety of progressively responsible advertising and marketing roles, including marketing liaison between top client management and the Olympic Organizing Committee for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. Significant accomplishments included development of advertising plans, selection and development of employees, and development of marketing programs that effectively used employer/client resources. Selected ahead of all peers for DDB Account Executive Program.
