About Amanda Scott
Amanda has been dancing, choreographing, and performing for over 20 years. She received her formal dance training from several studios in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a product of Tiffany’s Dance Academy Performing Company. In her youth she studied under the instruction of Tiffany Henderson, Rhonda Rooker, Bruce Biada, Nicole Jones, and Keith Banks. A natural performer, Amanda received numerous awards and scholarships from national dance conventions and competitions including Tremaine, NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance), KAR (Kids Artistic Review) and the University of Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase. Amanda graduated from the University of Arizona in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minor in Dance. At the University of Arizona, she had the opportunity to study under Susan Quinn-Williams, Michael Williams and Sam Watson. She was also active in the University academic honorary system and served on the executive board of her sorority, Chi Omega. After graduation Amanda performed with Bay Area Dance Company and began teaching at Tiffany’s Dance Academy in California. For over five years she taught children ages 2-18 in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical and served as the director of the Twinkle Star Dance™ program at Tiffany's Dance Academy's seven locations. Currently, Amanda serves as the Director of Operations for the Twinkle Star Dance™ program, a trademarked dance curriculum and video-based teacher training system, implemented in 300+ dance studios worldwide. She also serves as the conference director and was a speaker at the Twinkle Star Dance™ annual conferences from 2013-present held in Las Vegas, NV; Philadelphia, PA; New Orleans, LA and Charleston, SC.
