The research examined cosmic rays from supernovae, Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs), and active galactic nuclei, focusing on their interactions with atmospheric barriers. Simulations were conducted using Geant4 (Geometry ANd Tracking), software that simulates particle interactions with matter using a Monte Carlo method. Users define detector geometry, physical processes, and primary particles. Geant4 supports a variety of particles, including electrons, protons, nuclei, and short-lived resonant particles. The study simulated cosmic ray interactions with the mesosphere at 100 km altitude, with a density of approximately \(10 \times 10^{-5} \, \text{g/cm}^3\). This region produces electromagnetic, mesonic, and nucleonic components. Simulations involved charged particles with energies ranging from 1 keV to 100 GeV. Cosmic rays entering the atmosphere cause nuclear and ionization reactions, producing secondary particles and nuclides through processes like spallation, where nucleons are ejected from target nuclei. The research offers insights into the particle cascades and reactions triggered by cosmic rays, shedding light on their behavior and impacts in the atmosphere.
