I am a Partner in the Private Wealth Disputes Team at Birketts, based in the Chelmsford office. I have over 26 years experience as a litigator specialising in the field of contested trust and probate work. I am a long standing member of the Association of Contested Trust and Probate Specialists. I have a wealth of experience advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries in Will disputes, Inheritance Act Claims, issues concerning the administration of estates and trusts and proprietary estoppel claims. In addition, I also specialise in contentious Court of Protection work concerning disputes about the conduct of attorneys, deputies and applications for statutory wills as well as investigations by the Office of the Public Guardian. I regularly deal with complex multimillion pound cases and estates with assets in other jurisdictions.I have appeared on BBC's Inside Out programme and have also been interviewed by the Guardian newspaper about inheritance disputes. I regularly deliver webinars and seminars. I enjoy the complexity of contested trust and probate work, which involves various areas of law and finding creative solutions for families in conflict.
