Accountable for directing the destination management functions of the organization; primarily supporting tourism industry partners, visitors, local residents, the communities that comprise Shores & Islands Ohio (S&IO), elected officials, economic development organizations to enhance the experiences people have when visiting the S&IO region. Responsible for interacting with partners in communities across the region to assist them in their destination development efforts as well as overseeing the Destination Experience Team that will ensure visitors are well-accommodated while in the region.

Responsible for generating group business through effective sales and marketing management. Maintain an awareness of planner and CVB partner needs, market trends, and competitors. Specialization in group markets that include corporate, religious, association, and sports. Supervise group sales team. • Promoted from Group Sales Coordinator in September 2012 (start date September 2008) due to the increase in sales and demand; therefor hiring additional team members and reallocating market focus. • Ohio Travel Association 2017 Emerging Leader • MPI Ohio Chapter 2012 Supplier of the Year. 2012 and 2013 Ohio Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus Middy Award winner for group marketing brochure.• Convert leads into booked business. Prepare proposals and presentations, conduct site visits and familiarization tours, identify and satisfy group requirements, and ultimately close the sale. • Develop an innovative balance between print, online, social media and direct advertising in addition to tradeshows, tours, visits and, blitzes. • Build relationships with the CVB partners and maintain expert knowledge of properties and services. Facilitate CVB partner group sales meetings. • Attend industry tradeshows per year across the county to identify new business, build current business, and obtain education; hold prime sponsorship levels to increase exposure and build brand awareness.
