* Thirty seven years of working as Social Worker, Innovative Leader and Manager within Government and Non-Government services in New Zealand and Australia.Professional Highlights:• I was a founding member and designer of the New Plymouth Sexual Abuse Investigation Team. This team went on to set a National model of best practice and collaborative partnerships between Department of Social Welfare and Taranaki CIB.• I designed and delivered throughout Taranaki Primary and Secondary schools a student program “It’s OK to say No”. The focus was preventing Child Sexual Abuse through educating students and Teachers to recognise and report.• I was a recognised “expert investigator” specialising in interviewing small children on behalf of the local CIB.• I created from my own vision a disability service “Ignite” a unique business unit within NZIHC focused on the principles of Social Inclusion and empowering people with disabilities to achieve their dreams leading independent fulfilled lives. All programs were designed by me and the team of professionals that worked there. This service was recognised by the Ministry of Health and Disability at the time, as a service that demonstrated the Disability Action Plan philosophy.• As Senior Team Leader Child Safety I have reviewed and worked in partnership with staff to design a Family Group Meeting model that has been recognised as an exemplar practice framework for the North West Child Safety Region Queensland. This framework will be considered at a National level and contribute to the development of a National blueprint.
