I am the CEO and Creative Director at Rock Paper Scissors. I joined the company in 2005 after graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University. My journey at RPS began with the role of Project Manager and I moved up the ranks very quickly. Prior to assuming the role of CEO and Creative Director, I held the role of Account Executive and Art Director. In my current position, I oversee the vision and direction of the company, as well as working with my team to develop brands that connect with our clients’ audiences and marketing solutions that help our clients grow their businesses.I am also a certified EMyth Business Coach. Having gone through a year of coaching with the EMyth program myself, I know the value of having an individual outside of the company to discuss challenges and successes with and bounce ideas off of. The coaching I received helped RPS work through the challenges of the economic recession of the late 2000s, and I realized that I wanted to help others work through the challenges that business owners face, which lead me to become a coach with EMyth in 2013.In addition to my commitment to RPS and our clients, I am actively involved in a number of professional and civic organizations such as the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Gwinnett, Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, Janus Institute, Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services, Aurora Theatre, Barefoot in the Park Fine Art Festival, and Rotary Club of Lawrenceville, among others. Through these organizations, I enjoy helping other businesses grow and supporting the community in which I live and work.

Ceo & Creative DirectorRock Paper Scissors Jun 2005 - PresentIn my role as CEO and Creative Director, I work with business and organizations that are at a crossroads and who need change. This can come from the desire to grow due to stagnation or shrinkage, or because your organization is ready to grow. In order to grow, most organizations need to change what they are currently doing and thinking. We know what it takes to help an organization to change. Change starts with asking hard questions to get to the core of who a business is and what it will take to really move the needle, and we are really good at asking the hard questions so that we can then create solutions to solve these problems with your branding and marketing efforts. We create brands that reflect our clients and the hard work they put in that makes them so successful. Our business-based, creative strategy not only brings fresh ideas to the table, but also gives clients the opportunity to truly describe, and often discover who they are and how they want their brand to reflect that. We firmly believe that collaboration is one of the greatest components of a successful brand and growth strategy. We don't believe in having just clients, but instead creating partnerships. Truly understanding your organization’s anatomy [mission, vision, and values] allows us to fully invest and grow as a business partner. This means that your growing pains are our growing pains, we celebrate your victories like they’re our own, and we use all of those experiences to refine your marketing strategy moving forward. Some of the more notable brands I have worked with include: CDC, Cabbage Patch Kids, Carry-On Trailer, Pigtails & Crewcuts, Discovery Point Childcare Centers, Swoozies, United Supply Company, Usher Foundation, Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, Aurora Theatre, Janus Institute, Gateway85 Gwinnett CID, and City of Duluth to name a few. -

Certified Business CoachEmyth Jul 2013 - Oct 2021Buford, GaAs a former EMyth client, I know firsthand that building a successful business is a deliberate process. If you leave the growth and development of your business to chance, you might not be happy with—or even recognize—the resulting company. I enjoy giving my clients the perspective to objectively analyze the state of their company, the guidance to develop the structure needed to reach their goals, and the support to work through issues that stand in the way of their success. -
DesignerAurora Theatre Jun 2004 - Dec 2010Having literally grown up in the theatre, I pursued a degree in theatrical design with my specialization in both costume and scenery. Upon my graduation, I served as a design contractor for the Aurora Theatre including the costume design for the inaugural mainstage production in Lawrenceville of "Annie Get Your Gun". Favorite productions included "Last of the Red Hot Lovers", "A Year with Frog and Toad", "Damn Yankees", "Chicago", "Storytelling Ability of a Boy", "Boom", "Dinosaur: The Musical", and, of course, countless "Christmas Canteen" productions. -
Costume Shop Instructional AssistantAppalachian State University Jan 2002 - May 2005When I started my college experience, I only had interest in scenic design, but after a semester of study in the costume shop, picked up a new skill and passion for costuming. This included designing for both the mainstage and black box productions at Appalachian State University, as well as serving as an instructional assistant in the costume shop for three years helping other students learn the skills they needed. My roles included serving as a Stitcher, First Hand, Milliner, Designer and Instructional Assistant for the ASU Costume Shop.
