Key Responsibilities- Accountable for the development and delivery of the Corporate Functions annual and five-year audit plan taking into account the corporate strategy, the regulatory environment and risk-based considerations within Group’s requirements. Provide input and challenge to the non-Corporate Functions audit plans. Ensuring all aspects of the audits, including planning, scoping, budgeting and resourcing through to execution and finalization of the audit were efficiently and effectively delivered, managed and reported on without compromising on audit quality. This included working on global audit topics. Significant audit reports included CPS 220 Risk Management Audits, CPS 231 Outsourcing Audits, Privacy and Complaint Management.- Review, challenge and preparation of audit results/reports to help ensure that issues raised and their associated rating is appropriate. This also included drafting relevant narrative for the Board Audit Committee papers. - Focus on building stakeholder relationships to understand risks and concerns in their areas through regular meetings; communication of audit scope and findings; and regular feedback for opportunities to improve. This also included working with Line 1 and Line 2 to resolve audit issues and other matters, e.g. outsourcing risk assessments.- Manage, coach and mentoring staff, including priority and goal setting, performance management and development for five direct reports. Also providing coaching, on the job training and feedback to my individual audit teams.- Co-managed the Business Audit team focusing on resourcing, efficiency and quality execution of audits for my portfolio and the broader internal audit plan delivery.- Responsible for recruitment and the social committee.

- Managed and led scoping, planning, execution and finalisation the following audits: CPS 220 Risk Management, CPS 231 Outsourcing, Claims Management (including service providers and performance management), Work, Health and Safety. Including review and supervision of team members’ work, resolving any issues between the business and the audit team, communicating findings and ratings to stakeholders, project management to ensure timely delivery.- Regular meetings with General Managers to understand what are their key risks and concerns.- Performance manager for staff and on the job coaching for audit team.- Quality assurance of audit files for compliance with audit methodology, Group KPIs and adequacy of testing and documentation to support the audit findings.
