•Administers and communicates benefits programs and policies in accordance with plan documents, vendor contracts and state and federal guidelines such as annual open enrollment, quarterly audits, and implementation of new benefits or plan features. •Works with HRIS and Business Technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of benefits information and resolution of data integrity issues. Audit employee data as relates to benefit programs.•Responsible for day to day operations of wellness program and recognition program. Includes conducting wellness program orientation for new hires, working with vendor to update the wellness online platform and overseeing biometric screenings and flu shots. •Assists in the administration of Workers’ Compensation claims, benefit repayments for staff on leaves of absence and life insurance claims.•Administer and serve as first point of contact for benefits related questions while out on a leave of absence•Support ad hoc benefit projects as necessary.•Serve as second escalation for employee questions and issues as they arise

• Administer benefit enrollments and life event changes within HRIS system for over 3,000 employees while conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy of data entered.• Process terminations and other losses in coverage and enter data in COBRA vendor system. Respond to all COBRA related questions and inquires. • Oversee the new hire process as it relates to benefits, including conducting a weekly new hire benefits orientation.• Respond to questions sent to the Benefits Team mailbox in a timely manner by thoroughly researching and investigating the issues. • Prepare invoices for benefit plans, conduct reconciliation when needed, and arrange for wire transfers and Automated Clearing House (ACH) debits.• Work with the HRIS team to create necessary benefits and COBRA reporting, to assist with testing the HRIS system to ensure data integrity, and to ensure that benefits self-service for the end users is seamless.• Assist with the planning and execution of annual open enrollment by helping to draft all employee communications and marketing materials, answering all enrollment questions, and making appropriate employee benefit changes.• Work closely with payroll team to ensure correct and accurate benefit deductions, accruals and refunds.• Provide administrative support and back up to other members of the team.
