I have over 9 years’ experience working with data ranging from behavioral assessments of sensory perception to whole genome sequencing, and combining them to address difficult questions in human neuroscience. My passion for data science is a natural extension of my intense drive to be useful. It pushed me through a PhD in translational research and into exciting side projects with an enthusiastic “Sure, I’d love to help with that! What does your data look like?”My stand-out skill is communicating science to a range of audiences - beyond “best talk" awards at conferences, my ability to convey results and their impact has earned grant funding and one of the few non-director slots in the speaker list during our institute’s biannual external review. Check out the link below for my interview with Ira Flatow on public radio’s Science Friday. As a collaborator, I’ve co-authored publications with genetic counselors and paleoanthropologists, psychologists and geneticists across Europe and America - relationships that started with an interest in their work and what they saw as the pressing questions in their field.

Senior Data ScientistSeriously Digital Entertainment Sep 2019 - Apr 2022• Performed analytics and modeling for performance/mass media marketing andgame teams• Applied LTV models to predict months required to reach full return on ad spendbased on early in-app purchases/ad revenue; derived performance targets• Created process for reproducibly generating monthly marketing reports used byC-level executives, summarizing up to two years of KPIs for each marketing channel (more than 15 by mid-2021, ranging from Facebook Ads to television) in monthly cohorts• Analyzed a player survey about media consumption habits to clarify chicken-and-egg questions about our players’ music tastes and reveal historically overlooked regions where players are just as excited about our lead game• Performed time-series modeling to quantify how fluctuations in daily marketing spend across channels and other factors impact daily installs and active users• Analyzed AB tests and wrote extensive player behavior reports (including retention, churn, in-game activity, monetization) for the Best Fiends mobile game• Developed an internal R package, RMarkdown template, and sample size estimation tool to facilitate AB test planning and analysis by business analysts
