Advised students through the college application process including searching appropriate colleges, completing applications, writing the personal statement, and advocating for accommodations. Taught 9th grade Career Development course that surveys four different occupation threads students will encounter in high school and beyond. Taught College 101 course for juniors that allows students to learn about the college process, how to effectively research, how to write the college essay, etc.. Organized college fair, career fair, admission visits, and college tours for Upper School students. Counseled Upper School students in their academic needs, intervention strategies, and personal situations in a 1-1 setting. Lead presentations throughout the school year for families, students, and professionals about the college process and how to access accommodations for students with learning differences.

Responsibilities include overseeing exam prep (SAT/ACT/high school entrance exams) programming for middle and high school students, training tutors, and counseling students on score goals. Tutored students in exam preparation including SAT, ACT, and SSAT.

Taught middle and high school English, middle school Mathematics, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, SAT/ACT Math prep, and 12th grade College Prep Life Skills. Instructed content aligned to the Common Core in a one-to-one classroom for all students. Advised students through the college application process including completing the common application, writing the personal statement, acquiring letters of recommendation, and filling out the FAFSA.

Taught 9th and 11th grade English, Journalism, Public Speaking, Journalism Grammar/Composition, and Algebra 1 Keystone Test prep. Instructed content in a full inclusive classroom, created lesson plans aligned to Common Core, and generated methods of instruction in order for students to have a greater understanding in the given subject. Integrated technology (such as PowerPoint and Active Inspire) to maintain and gain student involvement in the classroom. Advised students through the college application process including touring campuses, completing the common application and utilizing Naviance, writing the personal statement, acquiring letters of recommendation, and assisting in the financial aid process.

Responsibilities included training and supervising employees, managing schedules for customers and teachers, coordinating payroll for employees, billing and collecting tuition payments, and administered academic evaluations for students K-12 at regular intervals. Duties representing external center responsibilities included serving as liaison between teachers and the Center Director, planning and directing community events, collaborating with local businesses on charity events, and corresponding with clients and local school district officials. Tutored K-12 students one-on-one in weak areas such as Reading, Mathematics, Vocabulary, Phonics, Exam Preparation, and College Admission. Encouraged students to learn and solve problems independently.
