As the Director, US logistics I was accountable for all outbound operations including factory, regional and local distribution centers, transportation management and reverse logistics.

As Director of Materials I led the development and implementation of a North American strategy to improve the flow of material into Whirlpool's 14 manufacturing operations. This role included responsibility for all inbound transportation and warehouse management as well as accountability for vendor managed inventory programs and all raw material and component inventory across the network.

In this role I was accountable for leading projects and initiatives that increased our stability and flexibility within North American manufacturing as part of our strategic Integrated Supply Chain roadmap. This included leading a large cross-functional team to develop and implement a new part stocking strategy, as well as several key initiatives to improve stability within our manufacturing operations by more than 50% within one year.

In this role I owned the strategy for internal materials operations at one of Whirlpool’s largest manufacturing facility, as well as the daily execution of the delivery of 1.8 million parts to the assembly lines. My team of nine Operations Supervisors and Material Engineers managed over 200 hourly, non-unionized team members across a three shift operation with a focus on safety, quality, delivery excellence and cost and continuous improvement through the use and embedment of Whirlpool’s lean principles.

As Senior Manager, Supply & Demand I managed a team of ten senior analysts who executed Whirlpool Canada's collaborative forecasting processes and product deployment from factories around the world. This role involved the development of forecasting and deployment strategy as well as the management of all daily execution tasks involved in balancing customer fill rates and inventory targets. The role also involved a significant amount of trade partner interaction, developing collaborative forecast processes with key accounts.

In this role I was responsible for the management and development of four direct reports who carry out the system execution of Whirlpool Canada’s marketplace investment (MPI) strategy. Day-to-day execution entails pricing and promotion setup in SAP, field communication coordination, program spend reporting as well as accrual reconciliation reporting. I was also responsible for helping to lead the annual trade marketing and account planning processes, guiding the MPI execution, go to market policies and procedures and ensuring Sarbane-Oxley compliancy.

As the distribution operations manager, I was responsible for day to day management of our third party logistics providers across three distribution centers. The three sites total 1.4M sqft, and handle more than 100 truckloads in and out each day. A large portion of my role was to coordinate process improvement projects such as racking re-layouts and RF technology implementations, as well as ensure all processes were Sarbane-Oxley compliant.I was the main project manager for Whirlpool Canada’s national network consolidation project which entailed the shutdown of 13 distribution centers and the start-up of 3 new buildings within 18 months. I helped to coordinate the operational RFP, worked closely with construction companies and the real estate department, coordinated the internal and external teams and ensured they were aligned and worked closely with Whirlpool Canada’s transportation manager to help manage the required transportation changes.As a part of my role I also worked closely with the supply chain teams at various key trade partners to help streamline processes and make Whirlpool Canada easier to do business with.

This customer facing role involved the management of three direct reports and the oversight of seven client relationships. It also required me to create and implement SOPs at the distribution centers and within the customer service team. I was also involved with the development and preparation of business development proposals and acted as start-up coordinator for all new accounts.
