I worked as a hairdresser for 10 years before having children. I am currently staying home to raise our two children until they are in school full time. I am also currently going to NHTI- Concord's Community College part-time, to receive an Associate's degree in Science with Major in Human Service degree. Anticipated graduation date: May 2017.I like to consider myself a great listener, and I am eager to learn. I enjoy working with people in a hands on type of environment. I have taken many courses at NHTI, such as, The Helping Relationship: Interpersonal Communication Skills for Today’s Professional, Human Growth and Development: The Life Span, and Ethics and the Professional Helper. I believe these courses, along with my work experience as a stylist, and my time raising our children, have all given me the building blocks in becoming a caring, mindful, hard working human service professional.
