Throughout the majority of Amanda’s lifetime, the library has served as a place of comfort. Whether it was utilizing its media or casual leisure, her perception of the library bloomed into one that she was solely attracted to. After working her first job as a page in Seaford Public Library in 2017, she realized that this was where she wanted to start her full-time career — most notably, working as a public librarian.With her prior library work experience, she have gained the skills in assisting her library with summer kickoffs, display work, and thorough organization of library items. By being able to help a patron, whether it is helping them find the items they are looking for or simply asking for recommendations, Amanda feels a sense of accomplishment and is reminded of how much she loves her job and the environment she is in.In addition to this, Amanda has a strong interest in writing and is working to have her projects published.
