I currently work with elementary age children and am responsible for researching and selecting curriculum, planning extracurricular activities and organizing, mentoring and instructing school age children in a variety of subject matter. I have a lot of experience with literacy programs, arts and crafts events and creating engaging lesson plans. I also have the ability to teach in diverse settings with ease.I’m familiar with the popular titles and authors in both young adult and children’s literature as well as those in graphic novels, manga and gaming. I have extensive experience in planning themed events corresponding with books, movies and author meet-and-greets. I have coordinated volunteers for outreach and PR events for both military and civilian functions.I am familiar with the operation of the MWR programs offered through Army and Air Force Libraries as well as the working with Navy and Coast Guard organizations. Additionally, I have 10 years of combined management experience in libraries, teaching and instruction and special event planning; and have taught both school age children and at the college level.
