The Action Coalition on Human Trafficking (ACT) is the only organization in Alberta that provides front-line services to victims and survivors of both labour and sex trafficking. Sexual Violence Response at Columbia University works to provide direct services and support to survivors and co-survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and other forms of gender-based violence, as well as prevention programming to members of the campus community. We provide trauma-informed, confidential support through crisis counseling/intervention, advocacy, prevention, and outreach. Responsibilities: -Provided front-desk services and point-of-care risk assessments to hundreds of victims and survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and other forms of gender-based violence-Collected and analyzed evaluation data for 10 prevention programs administered to 1500+ participants-Developed and piloted 2 novel surveys for counselling service evaluation administered to 50+ clients-Researched current best, emerging, and innovative practices regarding campus sexual violence-Advocated for trauma-informed care policies and procedures within Columbia University and Columbia Health-Compiled quality assurance data for Columbia Health to ensure that all SVR initiatives meet university and internal standards -Planned and implemented on-campus initiatives, including events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Relationship Violence Awareness Month
