As a field service coordinator I am responsible for managing the field services team while adhering to the 8 step field service process. This process includes communicating with customers, providing estimates, work order processing, warranty claims, job management, service work in progress management and invoicing in an ever changing environment. As the branch appointed warranty champion I am responsible for being the go to person in house for warranty questions, processing policy requests and assisting with finding solutions to any warranty related inquiries.

As a customer service advisor, I was responsible for managing the service process which included effective customer communication, work order processing, warranty claims, job management, service work in progress management and invoicing. Internal and external relationship building was key in this position. In this fast paced environment I was required to be organized, efficient and detail orientated. In the last 1.5 years of my employment with Finning I was part of the Service Excellence project that allowed me to mentor and support the customer service advisors and service advisors in the region. I received training in change management, continuous improvement, warranty processes, service report writing, first aid and H2S.

As a service coordinator I was responsible for overseeing the service clerks, dealing with problem and old work order files, determining warranty coverage for customers, reviewing the field service mechanics work orders and presenting any issues to the service manager. Working in a fast paced environment, I was required to be organized and efficient with my time and have an in depth understanding of DBS service functions. I have completed the following CAT courses: business training for service managers, warranty philosophy & coverage, warranty administration & the repair, claims processing & NACD warranty training. I was also part of a team that was analyzing and implementing a new online system for the service technicians and part of another team that was analyzing and implementing different shifts within the service side of the organization.
