I am excited to use my 25 plus years of knowledge in the Project Management field to add value to the Vanderbilt University (DAR) PMO Team as a Sr. Project Manager. I previously worked as a Project Manager for Solutions 21 and the Administrative Real Estate Assistant at Deal Realty. I enjoy the confidence that is placed in my ability to be a vital part of the tremendous projects I am on.Upon graduating valedictorian of my high school, I joined the United States Army where I received my certification as an Administrative Assistant. I changed from Active Duty to the Reserves and was Honorably Discharged after completing 10 years of service. I continued my career working for Principal Financial Group, AAFES, Gladiator Productions Inc., The Broadmoor Hotel, Deal Reality, and Solutions 21. When not working I have kept my skills up through volunteering with the PTA, Family Readiness Groups, Spouses Clubs and the Lewiston-Porter High School Partners in Education.I enjoy my current position not only because of the work I do, but being able to use my skills in various different fields and ways. I have been challenged to work on projects in areas that I have not worked in previously, which I feel make me grow into a better-rounded person. My peers would describe me as a very organized, detail orientated employee. I thrive on accepting challenging assignments to further my abilities. I often work well alone; however enjoy working effectively with others. I continuously educate myself in new ranges of expertise to keep my knowledge up to date. I am always interested in connecting with old colleagues and friends.
