I led the operations, strategic planning and communication for media industry awards and events, steering the program management, sales, software, events, customer experience, and community engagement for these recognition platforms. Utilizing my project management talents to manage both the people and processes of concurrent award programs, I streamlined efficiencies, incorporated data into business decisions and offered an outstanding customer experience to members and stakeholders. Demonstrated operational impact:► Tapped by SIIA leadership to take on a new role to grow its awards and events in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Revitalized recognition programs to achieve 39% revenue increase in my first year of project ownership.► Innovated new strategic plans and forged (in-kind) digital event partnerships to manage the production of multi-track virtual live events, providing much-needed community connection in the wake of COVID-driven budget cuts.► Architected a brand new recognition program– the IMPACT Awards– showcasing best-in-class DEI efforts and amplifying the benefits of sustainable change and the advancement of equity.► Established new protocols to ensure inclusivity in legacy awards processes. Led the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) Division of SIIA and its P&L, board, committees, member recruitment, engagement and program development efforts.

Promoted twice. I led the conference program for CES, the world's most influential technology event and a global platform for thought leaders and brands. I oversaw event operations and speaker strategy for a multi-day program, engaging 1,300+ speakers on concurrent stages at myriad discrete venues across Las Vegas. I managed the complex program agenda, stewarded critical partnerships, and synthesized data to inform strategic programmatic direction. Steering content development across varied sectors (health, automotive, sports, entertainment and sustainability, e.g.), I routinely developed expertise in emerging technologies. I served on cross-functional teams, acting in a “people connector” capacity among stakeholders in order to launch programs and products to engage new strategic audiences and generate year-over-year show growth (165% during my tenure).

Recruited by the executive team to return to The Atlantic where I assumed the leadership of my former events department, managing the staff and the events inventory– 200 events generating $2.5 million in revenue annually. Putting my passion for people to work, I was entrusted to manage relationships with global brand clients and high-profile advertisers. Working backwards from the client’s goals, I created and executed strategies, including: stakeholder goal-setting, budget development and administration, timelines and milestones, site selection and contract negotiation, strategic audience development and promotion, marketing collateral production, onsite coordination and management of volunteers and event suppliers.

Served on the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Donor Relations team to steward and recognize the University’s capital donors. Managed a bi-coastal team, administered top-level prospect engagement systems, processes and logistics, including the coordination and tracking of donor recognition events for specific gifts and long-term strategic oversight, as well as the coordination of volunteer structures. Partnered with senior development staff to build event strategies, planned yearly donor engagement events calendars, and provided meeting management consultation.

Promoted three times. Co-founded the flagship events department, creating the tools, standards and benchmarks that drove the execution of 120 value-added branding events for Atlantic Monthly and National Journal.
